While the title implies that I have a problem with camp, I'm actually very happy that it happened. Seeing new and old faces alike is always a good experience, and I found that many campers and JV's remember me from last year.
The Guest Speaker turnout was fantastic, we almost had a dog come in every day! Also, today we had Salamanders which the campers loved.
This week was a lot of fun. Almost no problems, everything went smoothly, and I finally got my project. I'll be working on the EDEP again like last year, but instead of Surf's Up! I'll be doing it on Sue, our lovely T-Rex. Unfortunately we weren't able to tag along with Taylor and Ashley to Jacksonville to see Megalodon, but that's okay because we might go anyway.
In other news, I got certified to drive the 15-passenger van, which sounds intimidating but I think I can handle this.
Callum, I'm so jealous that you get to spend time with that beautiful dog and I don't. Are you allowed to play with him and stuff? What do the campers do with him? 15 passenger van you say... sounds exciting but like a lot of pressure. I'm glad you had a good week can wait to see your final project on sue
ReplyDeleteI think I would have so much fun if I were attending your camp! I love animals, especially dogs (and weirdly enough, salamanders). At the MOSH, there was this Fire Salamander that I could have stared at ALL DAY because I thought it was so beautiful! It wasn't even doing anything, except chilling in his water dish... What is EDEP? Sorry, I forgot what it stands for =(
ReplyDeleteI am a little terrified that Amanda let you get certified to drive the 15-passenger van...I think I'll drive seperately to any event that we go to...just kidding (: I too am glad the first week of camp is over. Being a newbie this year, it wasn't nearly as bad as y'all made it out to seem last summer.haha, but anyways I think we definitely should convince Amanda to take us to Jacksonville for a day!
ReplyDeleteSweet! Road trip in the 15 passenger van! You didn't miss much with our visit to Jacksonville...we didn't even get to stay that long. But you should definitely get with Ashleigh if you want to include some math in your program! See you in class!
ReplyDeleteI am jealous I only work the mornings and do not get to see these dogs! Instead I get to see clams and salamanders…which are still cool but not the same. I am definitely hoping we get to see megalodon sometime soon!
